Health education

The Raindrop Foundation has focus on increasing awareness about the problems that continue to affect people long after the news headlines are gone and the cameras turned off.

Did you know that in 2010, 7.6 million children died before their fifth birthday? These deaths were caused by complications during prebirth, labour and shortly after labour and from diseases like malaria, tuberculosis and diarea. It would not have been hard to prevent such deaths - the methods are fundamental, simple and quite inexpensive.

One of the basic factors that are missing, are more health workers. That can provide basic health care, preventing children from dying of causes that can so easily be avoided. Today, there is a global need of 3.5 million health workers.

It is important that we don't let our politicians forget this – regardless of where you live.

I demand that my government will provide 100 million US dollars to aid health care for everyone.
